SUNBOOKS Partnership!!!!

The Dream School Foundation is excited to announce our partnership with Sunbooks https://sunbooks.org/, an initiative of The World Literacy Foundation https://worldliteracyfoundation.org/.

In a grand collaborative effort to raise the level of literacy in Nigeria we will begin at The Ireti Girls Primary School* in Ikoyi, Lagos with Abiodun Okanlawon, Nigeria’s first Sunbook Director of Program Development.

I’m excited about the role I will be playing in the lives of teachers and  learners. Equipping teachers with the skills they need to teach literacy effectively has been my passion. I look forward to seeing teacher’s passion ignited as their learners learn to read and write more effectively and watching struggling learners become stronger and stronger in their academic and non-academic pursuits. I envision a better Nigeria through the lives of teachers and students impacted by this project.

Update*. Due to Covid and the decreased number of students in the school, The Lagos Ministry of Education has combined three elementary schools. Now all three schools will have the privilege of participating in the the Sunbooks program.
